From July 22 to July 26, 2024, Tsinghua University "Sino-Turkish International Communication" team and Confucius Institute at Middle East Technical University jointly held a five-day Chinese Cultural Experience Camp, which aimed to deepen understanding and friendship between students from both countries through cultural teaching and interaction and to promote cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and Turkey. This camp received enthusiastic responses and active participation from students of different universities in Turkey, with a total of 45 students signing up to participate.

Members of Tsinghua University "Sino-Turkish International Communication" team meticulously designed six Chinese cultural experience courses, including Chinese folk songs and regional culture, Chinese folk dances, Chinese knot weaving art, Ba Duan Jin (a traditional Chinese qigong), Chinese calligraphy, and lacquer fan art. These courses showcased and shared the richness and diversity of Chinese culture in various ways, culminating in a splendid closing ceremony on July 26.

Through the five-day Chinese Cultural Experience Camp, Turkish students expressed that they truly felt the charm of mutual learning and cultural exchange. Tsinghua University students remarked that through this event, they not only actively promoted the excellent Chinese culture and traditions, but also deeply appreciated the richness, diversity and unique charm of Turkish culture. This event was not just a cultural exchange, but also a collision and integration of hearts and minds. Confucius Institute at Middle East Technical University will hold more cultural activities to further promote Sino-Turkish cultural exchanges and deepen the friendship between the people of China and Turkey.
